UKDocuments comply with :

UKDocuments provide an independent search and supply service for Birth, Marriage and Death certificates issued by the General Register Office for England and Wales. Divorce Decree Absolute Certificates issued by the Court Service and Wills issued by the Court Service. All certificates issued are sealed and/or certified copies of the original as issued by the relevant Government department. Customers who intend to use the requested certificate for use overseas, should seek the advice of the relevant overseas authority, in order to determine that the certificate is suitable for the purpose intended.

Our prices consist of the cost of the document and our administration cost for searching, procuring and dispatching of the document.

UKDocuments will only issue a document when we believe that the purpose for which the document has been ordered is legal. If for any reason we believe that a document has been ordered for an illegal purpose we have the right to cancel the order. For this reason all requested information must be supplied. If for any reason the information cannot be supplied please contact us before an application is made.

The cost of our service is as indicated on our website in pounds sterling, this is the amount that will be charged by us using any of our approved methods of payment. Any additional charges imposed by your card provider for the transaction will be the responsibility of the card holder. The payment will appear on your statement as UKDocuments.

If we are unable to identify or supply the document based on the information supplied by you, we may retain a search and processing fee of 10.00 UK pounds sterling and refund you the balance. However, we will endeavour to trace the document by contacting you for further information if required.

Documents are despatched using the Royal Mail postal service according to the delivery method you have chosen, or by courier for international orders when this has been requested. We are unable to offer a collection service from our premises. Delivery is deemed to have been effected at the point of dispatch and we accept no liability for the delay or non-delivery of documents. If a delivery option which requires the recipients signature has been chosen, a full refund or replacement document will be given at no further charge to the customer.

All orders will be processed within 24 hours on any working day and the given despatch time is based on working days. Monday - Friday is deemed to be working days and excludes bank holidays or any period in which UKdocuments are unable to provide the services advertised on our website . If for any reason UKdocuments are unable to provide a service, this will be clearly indicated on our home page. Our quoted despatch times are for quidance only. Customers must be aware that documents may be delayed due to the service provided by the relevant government department responsible for issuing the documents or by the postal service. If we are aware of any likely delay this information will be clearly given on our website. If a delay is expected after your order has been processed we will notify you by email. In all cases we will endeavour to dispatch documents within the time scale specified.

Contract of order
The contract between Ukdocuments and the customer is deemed to have commenced when we have received your order and payment has been made. Regulation 13c of The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations are deemed to apply at this point and Ukdocuments do not offer the right to cancel once an order has been made.

13. - (1) Unless the parties have agreed otherwise, the consumer will not have the right to cancel the contract by giving notice of cancellation pursuant to regulation 10 in respect of contracts -

UKdocuments protect your privacy. Any information that we collect about you is for the purpose of processing your order. This information will only be used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. It will be held for no longer than is necessary for the purpose of processing and despatching your order and/or to rectify any delay or loss before the document has been delivered. Your personal information will be not be passed to a any third party other than the government department that is issuing the document for the purpose of obtaining the document. Your name, address and email address will not be kept or used for any marketing purposes by us and we will not pass on this information to anyone else.
